Cabahug BSBA-2 GENDER AND SOCIETY

“Gender Equality in Work Place”

For me, Gender Equality benefits everyone, because we will be able to decrease a number of
crimes relating to violence against both men and women. We need gender equality for a variety
of reasons. It is the vision that men and women should be treated equally in social, economic and
all other aspects of society and to not be discriminated against on the basis of their gender. That’s
why Philippines outperformed the regional average because they implemented well and works
satisfactorily on essential services and enablers of economic opportunity and on physical security
and autonomy with presiding the political voice and legal protection.
According to the research of MGI study, Philippines find a ways to resolve gender inequality
especially in the experience of women that still depends largely on their socio – economic status,
lower income still confront considerable gender gaps and less opportunity that’s why they
starting to educate those new generation and also parents about balancing more and equating
power between the men and women. Because there is scope for higher representation and equal
pay in professional and technical fields which is already a strength. According to Kristine Romano
of Mckinsey and company managing partner for the Philippines that “ Philippines has already
made significant advances towards Gender parity and has established a solid foundation on
which to build further progress.
In conclusion, Philippines has an opportunity to build on its strength in womens representation
in professional, technical jobs and in business leadership. We believe it is our responsibility to
participate in the conversation and make a change for a more gender equal world.
