- Identify different safety features that must be included to make the playground safe, write down in list form.
- Create ways these safety features can be incorporated into their playground design.
- Brainstorm how their playground design will benefit the school community

- Print worksheets (one per student).
- Ensure all students have their study notes from the
last lesson.
- Workbooks to glue worksheet in at end of lesson.

We are going be brainstorming and planning the
safety side of our playgrounds to ensure they are

you should include in your design.

The next part of the worksheet, you will need to

think of how you will incorporate these features
into your design, for example if you want a fence

Assessment:
Each objective will be assessed through the use
of the worksheet. Students will be assessed on
their ability to identify the required safety features
of a playground, incorporate these features and
brainstorming how their playground will benefit
the school community.
