Lidocain

Lidocain : an anesthetic with sedative, analgesic, and cardiac depressant


properties, applied topically in the form of the base of hydrochloride salt as a
local anesthetic; also used in the latter form to treat cardiac arrhythmias and to
produce infiltration anesthetic and various nerve blocks.

Each 1 ml of solution contains 2.0% of Lidocaine Hydrochloride B.P

Onset of lidcoain :
1 minute (Intravenous Injection) , 15 minutes (Intramuscular Injection)

duration : 10 20 minutes (IV), 5-30 minutes (ophth)

dose : 0,5% soln without ephinefrine 50 – 300 mg, maks : 4 mg /kg

Lidocain with Ephinefrin

Dose : 7 mg / kg and not > 500 mg
