Through art we can know the way of living of other ethnic in the regions of our country and we can

also
preserve or maintain the culture that we inherited from our ancestors. Sometimes we don't give
importance to antique items but those are very important because it represents ourselves and also our
country. Philippines are made up of many regions and with with every region there's an art that made
that every region different from each other. There are some region which are known for making clothes
from piña, abaca, cotton and there are regions who are known for making sculptures and woodcrafts.
Regional Arts is important because it's a way for a certain region to be acknowledge for and it is the
representation of the culture of the regions. People can distinguish the difference of every regions with
the art that they are making because it will serve as a representation. We can promote regional arts
through making them and selling them. We often see and buy souvenirs whenever we go to a different
place and I think that is one way of promoting regional arts. People from different regions can also
showcase it through having an exhibit that shows the different art of every region in the Philippines.
