Deep squat: - Good or Bad???

So many people believe in this myth that without deep squat they can’t build their quads. Any squat
movement will build your quads. But before you go for a deep squat you have to know your capacity
and limitations of your knee joints. Going too deep, that is when your calves almost touch your
hamstring, sometimes cause pain in knee joints. This is what everyone should be careful of. Don’t just
copy some bodybuilder. Jay Cutler hits deep squat, so I will hit it too. Jay hits because his knee joints
permit him. Your knee joints may not. We hit squat to break muscle fiber and then recover and grow.
We don’t hit squat to cause injury to our knees. I used to do the same and had some issues with my
knees. Now this is what I do:-

I go down to that point when my hamstrings are creating an approximate angle of 105-110 degree with
my hills.

I think this posture is good enough if you have knee problem. A lot of bodybuilders follow this posture. I
get awesome pump hitting squat like this and also don’t feel any pain to my knee joints. So if you are
struggling with knee joint problem, don’t go for deep squat. Try hitting squat like the diagram. Stay safe.
