To the Dean of the College of Teacher Education, Dr. Arlene O.

Monsalve, to our distinguished

guest, students, ladies and gentlemen, good morning. Today, we are going to understand the
importance of what an educator like us should possess since we are about to be a teacher of what we
called “Generation Z” or the Millenials. We know for the fact that these young people are very much
exposed to technologies like computers and gadgets and having the ability to understand them is an
edge once we finally become a global teacher.

This seminar aims to help identify the different skills teachers need in 21st century and discuss
the importance of each skill and how can it be applied in the teaching-learning process. This seminar is
also created to provide an opportunity for us students and future teachers to be fully-equipped with the
basic concepts of the 21st century skills.

Today, we are fortunate that we have one renowned speaker in the field of technology and I
would like to extend my appreciation to all the people behind this event. So, listen and learn from our
speaker. And I hope you guys will learn something today. Thank you and now I formally open the
program.
