How We Can Create and Inspire Change With Fifty Hours of Community Service Work

Community service has many benefits to an individual. People can learn new things or
even educate themselves with the services they are doing. It is also beneficial because
you are helping the community with local issues or even just events. Doing community
service can help boost your self-esteem and even make you feel like a better person.
By doing community service, you are doing a favor to yourself and to others. When
there is a bad accident and/or natural disaster you can help someone out who doesn’t
have as much money to hire someone to clean up the mess. You can also educate
yourself, on things like how a homeless person came to be homeless and what types of
struggles they went through. Starting a fundraiser and raising money for people is great,
you can use the money to donate to good causes, like charity.
Helping the community out can also look good on college resumes and/or applications. I
like to do beach clean ups with my family because I feel good about myself and the
environment. You can also be recognized for all the services you do. Volunteering gives
you time to go outside and talk with people. In this article that I read it said that
something they love to do, people can volunteer at an animal shelter for joy.
In this essay I stated reasons why it is important to do community service. You will do
yourself and others a favor, educate yourself, boost your self-esteem, and you will feel
better about yourself because you are helping a good cause. Your service will also look
