Culture class-between the sophisticated wealthy, unfair corrupt and
materialistic east and the westerners who moved east and brought violence of
the Old west days. The Midwest is romanticized as it represents the roots of
morality and traditional values
Appearances vs Reality_ Gatsby’s parties, Jordan’s cheating, Gatsby wealth
made from his involvement in the drug ring, illegall activities
Moral Coruption- the decline of the western civilization and its lack of
spirituality
