have worked with Mr. Watkins in two different capacities. While I was a principal in
Inglewood Unified School District, he worked in our primary Special Day Class. During
this time Mr. Watkins took the lead in support the teacher with her lesson and
“organizational skills so that scholars were able to learn, He ensured that procedures and
policies were followed, he worked with small groups of students, occasionally worked 1:1
with scholars, and often supported behaviors by redirecting students. | was also able to
observe Mr. Watkins written and verbal communication skills, in which he is very
proficient. He pays close attention to details and tasks pride in his work.
Currently, [ am the principal at Stephen C. Foster Elementary School and we partner with
Shields for Families. He comes to the school regularly to meet with his clients, Mr.
Watkins developed a great rapport with school personnel and other students that he came in
‘contact with while on campus. He is always professional and well mannered

1am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Mr. Travon Watkins. Mr. Watkins is
currently working as a therapist for SHIELDS for Families at a Charter High School geared
towards disadvantage and at risk youth. ‘Through my time of supervising Mr. Watkins, I have
grown to know him as being the model for our agency mission of believing in the ability or our
clients, building new opportunities, and becoming better individuals.
‘Mr. Watkins is committed to our mission, enthusiastic about his work, and exemplifies the
qualities it takes to be a therapist. Mr. Watkins is assertive, takes initiative, and has the ability to
problem solve under pressure in our public service field of work. He demonstrates understanding,
for patient populations and desires to increase his understanding and knowledge of the role he
