This letter shall provide an assessment of the faculty member's strengths and wealmesses and, when applicable, progress toward achievement of promotion and/or tenure," (Illinois State University Faculty Appointment, Salary, Promotion and Tenure Policies, Effective January 1, 2019, section XVI, B, 5, p. 73). ‘This letter fulfills this ASPT requirement by addressing your annual performance review. ‘The SFSC wants to remind faculty that this annual performance review does not address long-term contribution or equity. Later this year, the SFSC will conduct an annual salary review that considers long-term faculty contribution, equity, and annual performance {Illinois State University ASPT document, pp. 71-74). Please read this annual performance review carefully and incorporate the recommendations into your professional activities and efforts. The recommendations, along with your current productivity, are intended to facilitate your progress and continued growth as a faculty member. If you choose to discuss the contents of this letter with the SFSC, please let the Director of the School of Teaching and Learning know by February 8. Your evaluation in the area of teaching for 2018 is SATISFACTORY. The SFSC acknowledges your positive course evaluations, your development of a TCH 204, TCH 208, and TCH 205 cohort to initiate the ISU-Decatur Elementary Educational Partnership, your incorporation of engaging tools in an online section of TCH 407, and your willingness to volunteer as a panel and guest lecturer for various activities to engage students on campus, as well as nationally. Your accomplishments have brought recognition to School of ‘Teaching and Learning, and you are a valued member of the TCH faculty. In the area of teaching, the SFSC recommends that you continue to incorporate student feedback in your teaching, sustain the ISU-Decatur Elementary Partnership, and pursue the goals that you have set for yourself. Your evaluation in the area of scholarship for 2018 is SATISFACTORY. In the area of scholarship, the SFSC notes your three articles, one accepted, one revise and resubmit, and one under review; three research presentations, two national and one regional, and two faculty research fellowship grants. ‘The SFSC recommends that in the area of scholarship you continue to pursue publication of peer-reviewed manuscripts and see them all the way to press, to follow your research An eal opporunaffemarive ation univer encuragingdlvesity trajectory regarding the ISU-Decatur partnership, and work towards the goals you have set for yourself, Your evaluation in the area of service for 2018 is SATISFACTORY. In the area of service, the SFSC appreciates your committee work at the School level on the Student Interest Committee, as well as serving on two search committees; at the College level serving on three committees, including Program Chair of the CRC; and one at the national level on the NAPDS Elections Committee. ‘The SSC appreciates your work in the area of service and recommends that you continue your service at the School level, College level and beyond, to cultivate the partnerships you have established and seek out new ones, and to pursue the service goals you have set for yourself, In summary, your work in the areas of teaching, scholarship, and service contributes to the success of the School of Teaching and Learning. The SFSC’s evaluation of your overall annual performance is SATISFACTORY. The SFSC feels that you are making progress towards promotion and tenure, and encourages you to focus on seeing manuscripts through to publication in peer-reviewed journals.
