CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Under
COMPETITIVE RESEARCH PROGRAMME

Pakistan Science Foundation under “Competitive Research Programme” invites research proposals from
scientists/technologists/engineers/technopreneurs to achieve socio-economic goals through indigenous research
and innovation.

Who can apply: Researchers from HEC recognized public & private sector universities, public sector R&D
organizations and industry can apply through proper channel under the funding criteria given
below. However, the Principal Investigator must be from HEC recognized University or public
sector R&D organization.

Funding Categories:

i. Consortium Research Grants to finance research to resolve mega national issues

through consortium of scientists from multiple professions and organizations with
specific target of socio-economic gains
ii. Triple Helix Model (Research in collaboration with industry) to resolve industrial
issues to substitute imports and enhance value addition of indigenous goods especially
exportable commodities
Preparing Proposals:

i.
Funding limit for these categories is Rs. 20.0 Million
ii.
The priority areas are available at PSF website
iii.
Maximum project duration should not exceed 3 years
iv.
Project costing should be based on actual market rates
v.
Project should be prepared on prescribed proforma of Competitive Research Program
vi.
Grants of award will be determined by subject experts, technical committees, Project Award
Committees and Steering Committees. The decision of PSF will be final.
vii. Proposals under Triple Helix Model must be supported by the Business Plan
viii. Proposals under Consortium Research Grants must be supported by the Consortium Research
Plan

ii. Project proposals duly endorsed by organizational heads should reach PSF no later than
August 30, 2019.
iii. Soft copy of the complete project proposals along-with C.Vs and quotations (in single file of MS
Word format) should be sent at PSF.CRP@GMAIL.COM.
