1.0 Introduction

Pet Shop System is term used to describe a computer based solution which consists of a software

component.

Automation plays an important role in any type of business. This will convert a complicated

process into a straight forward operation that will aid in management decision making.

The current setup is being done manually, records information, appointment scheduling and other

transactions are based on pen, paper, and folder methods, in with those problems, efficiency of

outputs are also affected.

With the citation of the problems encountered in the manual setup of business, the researchers and

developers has decided to create a Pet Shop System that will the manual method of records.

1.2 Background of the Study

The Pet Shop System will give the convenience to both customer and owner. This will serve as to

other shop monitor their record and generate their sales because the current trend service for

customer. The space will be maximized while maintaining the accuracy of records. It also leads to

avoidance of cost like salary expense that will be paid in employees who will be assigned to check

and update the amount. The pet that need immediate attention will be served instantly due to easy

way of finding their records.

1.2 Statement of the Problem

This study sought to find answers to the following questions:

1. How the current system be improved?

2. What will be the benefits of the proposed system to the company and its management?

3. How much will it affect the firm’s cost it they automate?

1.2.2 Specific Problem

 What are the programming languages that must be used to create this system?

 How will the system make a reliable of transaction report?

1.2.3 General Objective

This study intends to design and develop a Pet Shop System which can be utilized by 8th Day Pet

Shop Barretto, Olongapo City for their convenience in terms of file handling or recording,

monitoring of gathering sales report.

1.2.4 Specific Objectives

The Specific Objectives of Pet Shop System:

Specifically, the project will aim for the following objectives:

1. To provide an information that will help pet owners to know the basics on how to take

good care of their pets.

2. To provide an online catalog to display the products and accessories available in the Pet

Shop.

3. To provide an efficient way of storing, archiving and updating the records.

 1.3 Significance of the Study

The project is significant to the following:

Researchers. The researchers have developed their writing analysis and interpretation skills

needed to make a good thesis.

Owner. The system gives the owner of Pet Shop more advancement towards its competitors and

make their business above others of the same line.

Customers. The system makes the transaction easier which allows the customer to have a liking

to the service provided to them.

1.4 Scope and Limitation

This study is conducted by the researchers to develop Pet Shop System:

 In this system the customer will get some advises about what is good for their pets.

 All records of customer will be automated.

 This pet shop system allow to view of their information.

 This system did not allow the customers to pay their bills through card.
