Chapter II

Methodology of the Study

The system development methodology refers to the framework that is used to structure, plan, and

control the process of developing a Pet shop System. A wide variety of such frameworks have

evolved over the years each with its own recognized strengths and weaknesses.

The system development life cycle (SDLC) will be used by the study to be developed with the

different processes such as follows.

Costumer Communication Phase

The proponents will ask to the client about the performance of the system and interview

them regarding their needs and wants to improve the proponents system , and meeting their

requirements as well.

Planning Phase

The proponent search for the possible client that uses manual system and the purpose of planning

about this

system is to prepare the workflow for pet shop system. Starting from easy stages of project

development until the end.

Risk Analysis Phase

As a system , it needs to analyze the feasibility of new system , which is to improve the system

and to make sure that it will fulfill the user. It is also needed to analyze all the constraints and

limitations of the system.

Engineering Phase

To design a data base it considers concerns is many aspects such as connecting to the visual basis

6.0 programming language. The specification will be determined by what data is needed to be

stored in database. In database design , each step of the process needs to be done very carefully to

avoid any unexpected errors. The errors might occur in database , it can have a complex problem

for the system. These database are designed by using Microsoft access 2003 for pet shop system

database.
Maintenance

Maintenance of pet shop system is an internal resource for who the owner of pet shop. Two main

roles are to help their shop and plan.

Customer Evaluation Phase

After completing the program , it will presented to the customers for further evaluation such as

checking if the system met the consecutive requirement of the customers or ask if they want an

additional features or modifications on the system.
