Summary Writing.

After listening to group 2 podcast on Anchor application, they all agreed with the topic and
this summary about the negative aspects of modern lyrics are too explicit for young audience. The
lyrics of music nowadays have become more explicit in their reference to drugs, sex and violence.
Next, the lyrics give a negative effect to audience where there are studies reported adolescent use
popular music to deal with loneliness and to take control of their emotional status or mood. Besides,
there is specific message about sex in the lyrics and it has lowered youth inhibition and make them
less thoughtful. In addition, explicitness in Hip Hop and Rap lyrics give a negative impact on a sexual
decision of the youth and these will highly increase the risk of pregnancy and sexually transmitted
diseases.
