III. Procedure:
1. Motivation:
Song: Alphabet Song

2. Teaching/ Modeling:
Present words with pictures that begin with Cc. Teacher first models how to read.
Then, pupils will follow by class, by row and individually. Tell them to listen to the beginning sounds.

Ask: What common sound do you hear at the beginning of each word?
Teacher says the /k/ sound correctly, then pupils repeat the sound.
The letter that produces the /k/ sound is what we call the letter Cc.
Let the pupils repeat.
Show how to write the upper case and lower case letter Cc.
Let the pupils write on the air, at the back of their seatmate, on the table, and on their palm.

3. Guided Practice:
Direction: Encircle all objects that begins with letter Cc.
4. Independent Practice:
Direction: Color the picture that begins with letter Cc.

5. Writing:
Show the pupils on how to write the letter Cc in upper case and lower case.
