The number of geriatric patient is
getting bigger time by time. Patient
called geriatric is when they are more
then 60 Y.O with multiphatologies
condition. There are several
physiologies process in geriatric
patient, such as change in biologic,
physiologic, social and also sexual live.
That changes is normal happen to
them. But, its also change their
qualities of life. One of biologic aspect
that change their life is degenerative
disease such as diabetes mellitus. This
research is made to analyzed the
relationship of quality of life and
diabetes mellitus patient geriatrics in
RSUD Dr. Moewardi.
OBJECTIVE
ABSTRACT
From total 69 patient, there are 9
(13%) male patient and 60 (87%)
female patients. Mean age are 70 Y.O.
there are 29 patients (42%) with
diabetes mellitus and 40 (58%)
without diabetes mellitus. In diabetes
patient, there are 7 patient (24, 1%)
patient with history of diabetes <5
Y.O and 22 patient (75,9%) with
history of diabetes >5 Y.O. statistical
analysis with man whitney between
diabetes and EQ-VAS show significant
result (p=0.004<0.05), but from
others aspect of quality of life
mobility, self care, daily living, pain
dan anxietywe got not significant
relationship (p> 0.05).

These research show us that there are
no significant relationship between
quality of life and diabetes mellitus in
geriatric patients RSUD Dr. Moewardi
(p>0.05)
METHOD
3 Total sample in this research is 69
patients, with observational analitic
method and cross sectional. All of the
sample analyzed with test and
mannwhitney test
CONCLUTION
There are no relationship between
quality of life and diabetes mellitus in
geriatric patient RSUD Dr. Moewardi.
