ITALIAN CUISINE

Italian cuisine has a wide range of commonly used ingredients, ranging from fruits,
vegetables, sauces, and meat. In Northern Italy, fish, potatoes, rice, corn (corn),
sausages, pork, and other types of cheese are the most common ingredients. Pasta
dishes with the use of tomatoes are spread all over Italy. Italians like their ingredients are
fresh and refined and seasoned.
Italian cuisine has influenced food culture around the world and is seen as an art
form by many. Wine, cheese, and pasta are an important part of Italian food. Pasta comes
in many shapes, widths, and lengths, including penne, spaghetti, linguine, fusilli, and
lasagna. The word pasta is also used to refer to dishes where pasta products are the main
ingredient. It's usually served with sauce. There are hundreds of different types of pasta
with at least one recognized name in the country.
Traditional Central Italian cuisine uses ingredients such as tomatoes, all kinds of
meat, fish, and pecorino cheese.
Italian cuisine is generally characterized by its simplicity, with many dishes having
two to four main ingredients. Italian cooking depends primarily on the quality of the
ingredients rather than the complicated preparation. Many dishes that were once regional
have proliferated with variations throughout the country.
