New exams go live on February 24, 2020

To earn CCNP Enterprise, you pass two exams: a core exam and an enterprise concentration exam of
your choice.

- The core exam focuses on your knowledge of enterprise infrastructure including dual-stack
(IPv4 and IPv6) architecture, virtualization, infrastructure, network assurance, security, and
automation. The core exam is also the qualifying exam for CCIE Enterprise
Infrastructure and CCIE Enterprise Wireless certifications. Passing this exam helps toward
earning any or all of these certifications.
- Concentration exams focus on emerging and industry-specific topics such as network
design, SD-WAN, wireless, and automation. You can prepare for concentration exams by
taking corresponding Cisco training courses.
The new CCNP Enterprise certification replaces the the current CCNP Routing and Switching, CCNP
Wireless, and CCDP certifications.

If you have started working toward the current CCNP Routing and Switching, CCNP Wireless, or CCDP
certifications, keep going. In the new program, you’ll receive credit for work you’ve completed in
these current certifications.

- If you pass any exams in these certifications before February 24, you’ll receive badging for
corresponding new exams and credit toward the new CCNP Enterprise certification.
- If you complete any of these certifications before February 24, you’ll receive the new CCNP
Enterprise certification and badging for corresponding technologies—enterprise core
technologies, advanced routing, wireless, or design.
