Project Title:​ ​Learning Urdu and some facts about Pakistan

Project Description:
The website will have five pages leading with an introduction to basic Urdu alphabets on the
home page. Page 1or home page gives information on the Urdu alphabets.It also gives
information on the location of Pakistan and some other languages of Pakistan.

The second page will prompt students to write and practice joining the alphabets after watching
the video. It also shows images of Urdu words. This page will also show sounds of alphabets and
how they are joined.

Page 3, this page gives information on other languages spoken in Pakistan and the places where
these are spoken. It also gives information on the location of Pakistan.

Page 4, this page gives on where Urdu is spoken. The students will be prompted to click on the
bigger map to see the location.It also gives information on the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Page 5, is the quiz page. The students will be given a multiple choice question to check their
knowledge. It will ask for information on the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Intended Audience:
The intended audience is the US military soldiers at the Defense Language Institute Foreign
Language Centre. There will be 18 to 20 soldiers in each session ranging from 18 to 25 years old
and coming from diverse backgrounds.

Learning Objectives:
After watching the video at least thrice, the students would be able to write the Urdu alphabets
with 90% accuracy.
After watching the video and writing practice, students will be able to write at least five, three
letter Urdu words.
After reading the information from the website, students would be able to name the Prime
Minister of Pakistan and which language he speaks.
After reading the information from the website, students would be able to name the other three
languages spoken in Pakistan.
