Barriers of Communication in Details

The process of communication has multiple

barriers. The barriers of effective communication
could be of many types like Linguistic,
Psychological, Emotional, Physical and Cultural
barriers etc. we will see all of these in detail below.
Linguistic barriers are the language barriers and
these are the main barriers that limits effective
communication because language is the most
common source of communication and if two
nations, regions or tribes have different languages
or dialects then it will effect communication and
creates tension between both nations and tribes so
for savage from miscommunication we have to use
the languages or dialects whom both sides knows
and in which both sides can share their ideas,
thoughts, feelings, emotions and their knowledge.
Psychological barriers are of different types of
mental issues that may be barriers to effective
communication like some people have stage fear,
speech disorders, phobias and depression etc, all of
these conditions are very difficult to manage
sometimes and surely they will limit the ease of
communication, for removal of these fears and
phobias we should have been confident and
creative.
Emotional barriers are the barriers that affect
people’s emotions. The emotional IQ of a person
determines the ease and comfort with which we
can easily communicate. A person who is
emotionally mature will be able to communicate
effectively. Perfect mixtures of emotions are
necessary for effective communication. Emotions
like anger, frustration and humor can blur the
decision making capabilities of a person and thus
limit the effectiveness of communication.
Physical barriers are certain disorders or diseases
that could also prevent effective communication
like shrillness of voice, dyslexia and AIDS etc.
however these are not crucial because we can easily
compensate and remove it.
Cultural barriers are one of the major barriers in
communication. Culture means traditions and
customs of society of different nations and regions
in which there dressings, foods, drinks and style of
their walking and talking is different than each
other so these are major barriers in effective
communication.
