I am writing to explore the possibility of working for you this summer. I am looking for a summer job in
the USA starting in June. On your website you have a position as a waiter open for this summer and I
would like to apply.

In regards to my legal eligibility to work for you, I would be participating in CIEE's Work &
Travel USA program, (www.ciee.org) which is sponsored by the Council on International
Educational Exchange [CIEE].

As my sponsor, CIEE is authorized by the U.S. government to issue the necessary

documentation for me to obtain a J-1 visa, which allows me to work legally in the U.S for up to
four months. I will also arrive with my US private Health Insurance for which you have the

I am motivated, friendly and out going. Spending a summer working in the USA would not only help
improve my English but be an enriching personal experience as well. I hope to hear from you very
