•   Oral : Diarrhea, nausea, abdominal cramps and skin rash.

•   Rectal : Anorectal pain or bleeding.

Dosage & When it is to be taken (Indications)

Adult: PO- As Ca: 240 mg/day. As Na: 50-300 mg/day in divided doses, up to 500 mg/day. Rectal: 120-200 mg as an
enema.

How to use Laxatin?

It comes as a capsule, syrup, and enema to take by mouth with or without food and through rectal.

When is Laxatin not to be taken? (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity, intestinal obstruction, undiagnosed abdominal pain and
prolonged use.

Warnings and Precautions for Laxatin

• Caution should be exercised in patients with history of bowel obstruction, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, rectal
bleeding, any allergy, who are taking other medications, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
