First of all, I would like to say thanks you The Hong Kong Institute Of Vocational Education for
providing an special opportunity for me to join this exchange programs on 2019 Sunny Holiday.
Surprisingly, we can travel with Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong to Singapore. Because I have never
been to Singapore before, so I really want to taste the Local Banmen-Chinese noodles, Singapore
Style Barbecued Pork Rice and Chicken Rice, so many foods in my imagination before I was waiting
for take off. After we arrived at Singapore, I was shocked by the fast process of immigration, I just
need to hand on the passport and make fews clarification, than pass through the counter. Unlike
other countries, travelers may always need to encounter complicated task when arrival. I walked
out the airport, we are surrounded by the colorful green zone and attractive road sign, little bit
different from Hong Kong. We enjoyed our first dinner at the Ang Mo Kio, one of the places at
which we would stay for 8 day for the exchange programs with the local vocational institute
organization called ITE.

The hostel is very comfortable just like staying in the luxurious hotel. Every student was provided
a private space for storing baggage and their bags. After we packed our things in our room, we
quickly walk out to the lounge and wait for the bus. The first destination we would visit is
Museum of New Water, which refer to the product of pub. We walked into the museum, scanning
the history of the Singapore which describing the water supply system from 1980-2016, dozen of
the engineer helped the Singapore to solve the problems of water supply. Unlike Hong Kong, our
water is supplied by our great China for more than long years ago. But we don’t precious for it.
The museum gave we a small bottle of the highly filtered water which was formed by the dirty
water collected from urban water system. I drunk the water, and I through it was too fresh and
didn’t cause any negative reaction on my body, felt like drinking French water at all.
On the next day, we were arranged for two different groups, the first group will go to
join the Department of Automotive Engineering and the second group will join the Department of
Aerospace Engineering. It is because I am a student from the Aircraft Main tenance Engineering
student, so I will join the Aerospace Department. We will exchange our experience based on the
subject we learnt form the past, our technical skills and our professional theory we had heard
from out teacher. When we were exchanging with the local students, I felt very exciting because I
had never talking the foreigners as my friends for more than long times. I talked with those
students about our Hong Kong Culture including the Hong Kong Style Cuisine and the festival
which we will celebrate for it.
I would like to thanks you the teachers who give assistance for our trip and made sure
that our problems can be solved. That is my first time to go to Singapore, so it be a new challenge
for me to communicate with the local one, the people who talking with variety of language and
the different culture which I can’t experience in Hong Kong. This trip could be my footprint to

success for the coming challenge including my carrier path. I would like to become a aircraft
maintenance engineer, so I would like to complete different professional examination including
the basic license, type license for further and the other profile that I need to be made.
