Weather conditions
Notice thar it is very common to form adjectives by adding *-y’.

For heavy rain (= raining a lot) we often use pour, e.g. It’s pouring (with rain) outside.
Rain for a short period of time is a shower, e.g. We had several showers today - some
quite heavy.
