Student Introduction

1. I call Richmond, Virginia home.

2. My real name is Madelyn, but I go by Maddie.
3. Experiences that I have with conflict resolution is with a lot of fights when I was younger with my
sister. I also tend to resolve other family issues a lot. I worked at a children's day camp once as
well and had to do a lot of conflict resolution amongst the kids.
4. Currently I'm hoping that in the future I can work for some sort of a nonprofit, charity, or NGO
such as UNICEF and Amnesty International.
5. I am very good at acting and I would say that for one I have always been a very theatrical person
and have always performed for friends and family growing up. I would say most of all of my
improvement had come from my heavy involvement in high school theatre. I performed in every
show that we offered and even got to travel to Edinburgh, Scotland to perform at the Fringe
Festival with my high school theatre group.
6. I have never taken a conflict-related class before, though in my COMM 101 class last fall
semester we spent time talking about conflict resolution before.
