The Philippine Wesleyan College (Wesleyan University-Philippines) High

School Alumni from batch 1950 to 2000 held its 3rd Grand Alumni Homecoming
with the theme “Balik Tanaw” at the University Gymnasium last February 16.
In line with the theme, the attendees reminisced their unforgettable
moments and took pride as they retell the major achievements of their batch on
stage.
Furthermore, the batch ’68 also introduced their chosen student, Keithleen
G. Guillermo, a seven years old deaf to be their scholar. It is to start the WUP
Alumni President Atty. Cesar Villars agenda to continue the Scholarship for the
Deaf and Damned.
In addition to this, there were also raffles and parlor games that took place
in the said event.
The event was hosted and organized by the Batch ’69, led by Mr.
Buenaventura Agunay—the Working Group President for this year’s
Homecoming.
Agunay was hesitant at first to accept the responsibility but still ended up
with the position.
“No’ng una, ayoko talaga kasi mahirap… pero ngayon, masaya ako kasi
nakikita ko na masaya din yung mga tao.”
As an alumnus himself, Agunay also said that if there’s one thing that
Wesleyan gave him and he can be proud of, is wisdom.
“Wisdom, hindi lang knowledge. ‘Pag knowledge kasi, yan lang yung earthly
knowledge. Pero kapag wisdom, yan yung heavenly knowledge… the truth,
walang kasinungalingan.”
