Activities you can enjoy to practice vocabulary both online and hands on… • Bingo: You can write 10 words on a piece of paper. The child chooses 5 of the words from the paper and writes them down. You will then randomly select a word and say the definition and synonym until the child has bingo. • Outburst: Have two teams, one team you will give them a topic such as farm, sports,etc.and they will draw what they think relates to that topic. Then the other team will have 2 minutes to list words that they think the other team drew for that topic. • Lingro: this online website allows children to click on words and several definitions are displayed in many languages. • Word Hippo: this website defines words, provides meaning, a word that is opposite, pronounces the word, provides rhyming words, puts it in different contexts and translates the word.
