STORY STARTS HERE.

Curtain opens. Lights on.

SCENE 1, Entry: *sings a song with a lot of people. Then they will stop singing. Yung parang welcoming
song and patapos na ang kanta/sayaw, lalabas si Oya at Shango na nageexcuse sa mga tao na
sumasayaw. Stops music balik sa ginagawa tapos magkakatitigan sina Oya at Shango.)

*Instrumental song: *

Iiwas ng tingin si Oya at lalagpasan siya pero hahawakan siya ni Shango sa kamay at magchachange
places. Gulat si Oya.

OYA: A good day, sire. Do you need a hand?

SHANGO: I am captivated by your beauty. Pwede ko bang malaman ang pangalan mo?

OYA: Oya. Pero, I'm already married eh. (shyly said but the tone is kinda seductive.)

SHANGO: Kanino naman?

OYA: Kay Oggun.

Mapapaisip si Shango pero ngingiti naman. Malamanyak. Paalis na si Oya ngunit hinawakan ito
pabalik ni Shango.
SHANGO: Where is he?

OYA: He is..... in the forest. Bakit mo pala natanong?

SHANGO: Then, you can come with me.

OYA: But, paano naman si Oggun? A war would come if he knew about this!

SHANGO: Ayaw mo ba talagang sumama sa akin?

OYA: P-pero... (hindi natapos ni Oya ang kanyang sasabihin dahil biglang kakanta at sasayaw si Shango
ng...)

SHANGO:

Tara, tara, sumama ka sa'kin

Hawakan ang aking kamay

Tayo ay maglalaklakbay

Patungo sa lugar na kung saan

tayo lang ang may alam

SHANGO: Ayaw mo talaga sumama?

(Habang kumakanta si Shango, si Oya ay mabibigla pero maglalakad lakad at iniisip kung sasama ba sya
o hindi, bago matapos ang kanta, ngingiti si Shango at ilalahad na nya ang kamay niua na papaunlakan
naman ni Oya. Uulitin ni Shango ang last two lines at mapapatingin sa audience at kikindat. Exit.)

Curtain close.

NARRATION: Oya resides to Shango's house in Ile and lives with him and Dada, his sister. Oggun heard
this and went into forest to mend his broken heart. People tremble in fear as Oggun doesn't want to go
back to the city. Obatala got worried as he know how Oggun loves Oya, he decided to asked the Orishas
to pursued him but no one succeeded. Until one day...

Curtain opens.

SCENE 2: A palace-like, there Obatala is sitting on a throne and Oshun, is kneeling on the front of his
mother.

OSHUN: Please mother, please, hayaan niyo pong ako ang magdala pabalik dito kay kuya Oggun.
OBATALA: Seryoso ka ba sa mga sinasabi mo? Maibabalik mo ba talaga rito si Oggun?

OSHUN: Opo mother, I am the only one who knew how to bring him back.

OBATALA: Then, kung gusto mo talaga, you have my permission to do that. (Yung action ni Obatala rito
bago sabihin ang 'you have my permission to do that' ay malagodmother)

Curtain Close

(NARRATION: Delighted by what she'd heard. She hurriedly went out to take everything she needs. The
next day, she took the honey and put it in her waist. She went to the forest and sang a song. Oggun
heard this and furiously walked to the voice she's heard.

Curtain opens.

SCENE 3: A forest setting. Oshun was dancing and singing while dripping the honey. Oggun was seen
peeking at her.

Oshun: "ONI O BONBO SOLO YU BABA SOLO YU BABA

SOLO YU ONI OBANBO

CARERE BABA SOLO U BABA SOLO YU BABA" 2x

**I am the Queen of honey and my honey is irresistable*

OGGUN: Ang ganda niya.... (mapapatingin sa honey) pero mas masarap ka.

While she was singing and dancing you could see Oggun following the honey drips. But, she stood up and
walked upon Oshun, who is still dancing, fascinated by her beauty, she smeared a honey on his lips then
drips a honey on the floor. He sat down to reach the honey and Oshun walked slowly and Oggun followed
her until they we're about to exit.

Curtain close.

(NARRATION: Oshun was able to bring back Oggun. He was able to go back to the city without declaring
a war to Shango. Oggun fell inlove to Oshun but he is still love Oya, on the other hand, has a problem
with Shango. Even though he is infatuated with Shango, he is still a womanizer)
SCENE 4: (A palace like with a torch(human) standing at the middle of the stage. Lalabas si Oya at
magtatakang titingnan ang torch, tataas ang kilay ng torch kay Oya. Papasok si Shango at titingnan rin
ang torch, nasa likod siya ni Oya, hahawakan sana ni Oya ang torch ngunit hahawalan ni Shango ang
kamay ni Oya upang pigilan ito.)

SHANGO: Do not ever get closed to this torch. (tataas ang kilay ng torch at susumpladahan si Oya)

OYA: At bakit naman?

SHANGO: Kasi.... (TABLEAU, kakanta ang torch)

Kakanta ang torch ng...

I'm the torch, I'm his torch

So, don't you dare touch me! (pakiedit po nung kantang 'to, need na nakalagay rito ay 'cause ay have a
superpowers that you could not touch' yung tono ay yung sa 'Im the map' sa dora the explorer. Balik sa
pwesto ang torch at gagalaw na ulit si Shango at Oya.)

SHANGO: Kasi..... Basta! Huwag mo nalang hawakan 'yan! Ganon lang 'yun!.

(Pilit na tatango si Oya pero tatarayan ang torch, tataas ulit ang kilay nung torch. Magtitinginan ang
torch at si Oya, exit si Shango. Maiiwan si Oya at ang torch. Iikutan ni Oya ang torch, titingnan lang siya
ng torch.)

OYA: Mahal naman namin ang isa't isa.... But, bakit nagsesekreto siya sa akin? Am I not enough to let him
trust me? Hindi paba sapat na binigay kona lahat lahat sa kanya tapos dahil lang sa isang hampaslupang
* ituturo ang torch * torch na 'yan eh itatago na nya sakin kung anong meron dyan!? Ano bang meron
d'yan na wala ako!? Does it hold something that I should not know? *titingin sa audience* Torch 'lang'
naman 'yan ah!? * emphasize the word 'lang'* Isang torch that only giving light in such a small space. *
emphasize the word 'small space' * Eh, ako? Kaya kong paliwanagin ang mundo niya. Tsk! * maglalakad
papuntang audience na parang nagiisip tas ngingiti tutunog ang 'Ting! * Aha! Bukas, before he goes out
of the palace, pupunta siya dito at ako naman ay sisilipin siya para malaman kung anong meron dito!
Bilang asawa niya, dapat alam ko ang lahat!

* Magugulat ang torch sa sinabi ni Oya. Tatawa lang si Oya ng malakas pero may mag 'SshhH' sa kanya
at tatawa nalang sya ng walang boses. Uunti unting magdidim ang ilaw nung tumawa sya ng malakas
at nung may nag'sssshhhh' ay konting dim sa mukha nyang gulat na gulat at tatawa nalang siya ng
walang boses sabay lights off. *

(NARRATOR: Oya did what she'd planned. She hides on at the back of the bush and Shango came did his
rituals. She silently walks away and saw Dada. Before she could talk, a fire spude from her lips which
makes her tremble in fear and run away. Shango came back and saw Oya ran away and he knew what
she did. She confronted her and..)

Curtain open.

SCENE 5:

SHANGO: Oya!

* Mapapatingin si Oya sa kanya, and shocked was all over her face. Shango was about to struck her
when she said something.)

OYA: Shango! * hahawakan niya ang kamay ni Shango na parang pinipigilan ito * * kakanta si Oya * I-I
knew you take care of me after walking out from home and I betrayed you f-for not following your
directions. B-but I promised! I promised t-that whatever you w-want, I help you defend from your
enemies.

SHANGO: At bakit naman kita isasama sa mga laban ko!? (still angry and slowly calming down)

OYA: Dahil may kapangyarihan din ako na katulad sa'yo! Rawr! Kaya patawarin mo nako kasi I could help
you fight naman eh. Just forgive me! Please!

Curtain close.

(NARRATOR: Since then, Oya fought along with Shango. She is there whenever Shango needs to compete
with someone and Oya never left his side protectinh him and defeating his enemy. One day, Obatala
came and told him that he should get married because he is the role model of the Kingdom. But, he
should not get married with Oya, as it would be a threat for Oggun to stop working and a war might
happen. Olumare then talked with Shango through Obatala.)

Curtain opens.

SCENE 6:

OBATALA: Tingin ko ay nararapat ka ng magkaroon ng asawa na magaalaga sa'yo at sa palasyo. Since you
are the role model of this kingdom, ngunit hindi mo nararapat na pakasalan si Oya dahil magkakaroon ng
away kung sakaling siya ang iyong papakasalan. Nararapat na pakasalan mo ay si Oba

SHANGO: Let it happen!

OBATALA: Alang alang sa aking pangalan, mangyari dapat ang aking sinasabi! (pwedeng gawin dito ay
yung ritual nung supertwins eh, pagisipan pa natin di ko kasi kabisado eh)
(Oba enters and bowed to Shango. He looks at her intently and smiles shyly. Obatala exit. Shango will
walked to Oba and she was also looking at him intently.)

Shango: Oba nini. *starts singing, if this could be a duet, it will be great. We could use this dialogue after
singing or it could me omitted from the scene and it can only be a song part where the two confesses
their feelings*

(Oba smiles. Starts the music.)

SHANGO: I'd already seen you before but your beauty never fades.

OBA: Thank you for you're appreciation, sire.

SHANGO: I promised that I will be contented upon you and will never looked in another women, as yours
will be enough for me. I will cherish and love, only you.

(Shango hugs Oba tightly. On the other side, a spotlight will turn on for Oya, who's looking at the couple
intently and angered from what she'd heard. *sings a hatred song, pwedeng same song pero iba lyrics sa
parts na 'to*

Curtain closes.

SCENE 7: A forest like setting with a river on the side.

(Oba and Oshun we're talking when Oya came.)

OSHUN: Andito na si Oya. Kunyari di natin siya nakita.

(Oba nodded and contined talking with her sister when Oya joined them.)

OYA: Oba nini. (she smiles widely which shocked the two girls) Bakit? Is there something wrong?

OBA: Ah, wala. Bakit ka pala nandito?

OYA: Wala lang, gusto ko lang magpahangin.

OSHUN: Oh, sigurado bang pagpapahangin ang gusto mo?

OYA: Hmm, oo. May iba pa ba akong dapat gawin? * sasagot sana si Oshun pero siniko sya ni Oba *

OBA: Oh, by the way, are you okay?

OYA: Yes, I am. Bakit? Mukha bang di ako okay?

Oba: Hindi naman, natanong ko lang. (she sincerely smiles and Oya smiles back *a plastic smile* then
turns lightly to roll her eyes. )

NARRATION: They we're happily conversing with each other whom you would mistake as they we're
sisters but actually, it's not.

*Curtains close.*

After talking with them, Oya bid goodbye to them. Little did Oba know, Oya was waiting for her at the
road and only using this chance to get the trust of Oba to lay her plan and to get his husband back to her.

Curtain opens.

SCENE 8:

Oya: I was on my way to meet you on the rivers edge but I was running late. Actually, pumunta ako sa
river edge para makausap ka ng tayo lang.

Oba: Bakit? May problema ba?

Oya: Ang totoo niyan ay gusto kitang bigyan ng advice. Magkapatid naman tayo kaya nararapat lang na
bigyan kita ng warning dahil ayokong masaktan ka ni Shango.

Oba: Sa tingin ko naman ay di niya ako sasaktan eh. Isa siyang maginoong lalaki na tapat sa kanyang mga
salita. Ni hindi siya tatalikod sa kanyang mga salita kaya sa tingin ko'y di ka dapat magaalala sa'kin.

Oya: Oba, sa umpisa lamang 'yun. Makinig ka sakin, ako ang nakasama ni Shango ng ilang taon bago kayo
maging mag-asawa Shango, he is a handsome man. An ideal man indeed. A lot of women would want to
marry him regardless of knowing his married and I know that someday, he will be unfaithful to you. And I
do not want it to happen, I don't want you to get hurt because of what he will do to you, someday. (says
it in a sweet voice) pero, kung tingin mo naman na ang aking pagaalala ay dapat isapagwalang bahala eh,
okay lang naman kahit di ka makinig sa mga sasabihin ko.

Oba: Tingin ko naman kasi ay di mangyayari 'yun eh. Naniniwala kasi akong kontento na siya sa akin. At
naniniwala rin kasi ako sa mga pangako nya sa'kin na alam ko namang hinding hindi niya ako bibiguin.

Oya: Naniniwala ka sa mga sinasabi niya!? Those sweet words are only sweets! Sinabi niya lang 'yun para
pakiligin ka at saktan ka sa dulo! Kumbaga sa candy, matamis lang 'yun na ibibigay sa'yo pero ang dulo ay
sakit ng ngipin! Don't believe on that!

OBA: P-pero!

Oya: (she holds Oba's shoulder and shooked it) Do you want to keep him?
 (Oba looked at her, and Oya was also looking at her intently)

Oba: O-oo.

Oya: If you want him to be with you and never looked upon others, you must sacrifice one thing.

Oba: Ano naman iyon?

Oya: Your ear! Tenga mo!

(Oba was shocked on what she heard.)

Oya: Kung gusto mo talaga na sayo lang siya, sacrifice your ear! Cut your ear and put it on his food. And
forever, he will stay by your side and will never looked at other woman.

(Oba did not answer her sister. She was frozed and just looking at her intently.)

Curtain close.

(NARRATION: but she thought to herself if this was the only way to keep her husband forever, she would
do it.

SCENE 9: A table is at the stage with lots of foods. Oba is standing near the table and holding a folden
napkin. She walk closely to the food and folded the folder napkin.

Oba: May my ear would let you stay by my side and you would me mine, forever. (She put the minced
pieces of her ear in Shango's food. She then walked aside and waited for him. Shango came and make
Oba sit beside her.)

Shango: Did you cooked this? It's delicious! (he said happily)

SCENE 10: Oba is sad and guilty by what she'd done. Oshun, saw her in the middle of the forest.

Oshun: Why are you so down? Did something happened?

(Oba cried and fell down on her knees.)

Oba: What should I do? (she kept on crying and weeping) I followed Oya's advice and -- (Oba's headdress
fell off. Oshun got shocked and knew what happened. She tried to put back her headdress while Oba wa
still crying.)
Oshun: Why did she do that to you!? You dom't deserve this!

Oba: If I didn't do that, Shango will be gone to me, forever!

Oshun: How you sure about that!? Can you predict your future!? How ridiculous! (she breathes heavily
and calmed herself.

Oba: B-but!

Oshun: You trusted Oya and gave your love and friendship and she crossed you. I am sure what ever you
have done will bring you serious consequences with your husband as you know how vain he is .

Curtain close.

SCENE 11: Shango is walking when Oya came and called him.

Oya: Shango!

(Shango looked at her.)

Shango: Oya. Do you need something?

Oya: Let's go somewhere. It's boring here and I want to be with you. (seductive voice)

Shango: You could asked Dada to come with you.

Oya: But I want you. (seductive)

Shango: I can't. I'm a married man, Oya.

Oya: But, I love you first! We've been together before Oba came, and you love me first!

Shango: I know, but I am not a married man before but now, I love her and I promised her that I will not
looked for another woman.

Oya: I am not just an another woman! I am your woman before her!

Shango: I know that. (sorry tone of voice.)

Oya: I was with you when you were suffering and defeating some monsters, but Oba!? She's not with
you when it happens! How come you forget about me and love only Oba?!

Shango: I have nothing to say.

Oya: I left my husband years ago for you! I risked and sacrificed my own reputation for you! I have a bad
image because of you. I love you. It's fine for me even I'm you mistress as long as you are there for me
when I'm in need. Please, just let me be your mistress.
Shango: I cannot do that, Oya. I'm sorry. I do not mean to hurt your feelings but I don't want to have a
mistress. Oba is enough for me and I am contented on her.

(Shango was about to go when Oya said something.)

Oya: Oba... She's not for you. She's not worthy for your love.

(Shango looked at her confused. Oya looked at her.)

Oya: She's just a waste of time. She's a witch who gives a poison upon you.

Shango: What are you talking about?

Oya: Oba.. She's imperfect. She has a physical defect that is obvious to everyone.

Shango: No. She got a perfect body.

(Oya laughed.)

Oya: Then, why do you think she's wearing a Gele that covered her ears?

(Shango looked at her confused. Oya walks slowly to him.)

Oya: It's because she cuts her own ear to fed it for you. She puts it on your meal earlier.

Shango: You are a liar! Oba would never do that! She do that to kept her hair cleaned.

Oya: Then, why not asked her?

Shango: Why would I asked her that?! I knew that she will never do it because she knew how much I love
her! There's no need to cast on a spell!

Oya: Then, why not try to see it with your own eyes? Then maybe, you would believe what I say is all
nothing but a truth.

SCENE 12: Shango is sitting on his chair when Oba came in. She pleasantly greeted him.

Oba: Why do you look so angry today? Did you met Oggun?

(Shango looked at her and at her gele.)

Shango: Can you take off your Gele?

(Oba, shocked by Shango's request, hold her Gele tightly.)

Shango: Please take off your Gele. I want to confirm something.

(Oba is not saying anything. She still holds her Gele, more tightly.)

Shango: I SAID TAKE OFF YOUR GELE!

(Oba didn't move even when Shango go to her and removes her Gele. Shango was also shocked as he
threw the Gele to her and moves backward from her.)

Shango: W-why did you do that?!

(Oba just knelt down and kept quiet. She never uttered a word but cried a lot. She never want to tell her
reason for his husband will still not forgive her. Shango got frustrated and is still angry about what she
did.)

Shango: I never had any woman aside from you. I've became faithful upon you and love you with all my
heart. Through you, I became a man of honor but what you'd paid for me was mistrust and you made all
of my efforts in vain. (Shango stops as he tried to calm himself.)

Shango: Today, my vows to you are retracted, I will never place my trust in anyone again; nothing will be
the same between us . I will continue to be your husband and to the world we will be man and wife, but
we shall never live together ever again. I do not want to see you again!

(Shango walks heavily and Oba left the stage alone. The spotlight starting to dim slowly as she says this
words.)

Oba: I never thought that trusting someone's words brings you this pain. I should frust my husband's
actions rather than trusting the words of a snake.

Curtain closes.

(NARRATOR: Oba accepted what Shango said. She never make him saw her, she hid herself not only to
Shango but also to human race. She never let anyone heard anything from her aside from her sister,
Oshun. On the other hand, Oya thought she won the battle between her and Oba. Shango is also broken
hearted, she goes back on being womanizer and to Oya, which was accepted by Oya. Little did she knew
that Shango still love Oba and he knew Oya will never be able to replace Oba in her heart. The end.)
