Angle: The emergence of fake news in social media accounts and its effect to the
society
Premise:
When millenials open their Facebook or Twitter accounts, they would easily
glance at their newsfeeds. They find themselves drawn closely to what the article or the
post says and they interpret it and in such a way that they become passive viewers
without thinking about what the facts are. These millenials interact with the society thus
their voices are being heard but what truth do they actually say. What does this news
about a topic urge them to disclose on a certain topic. These young men and women
are controlled by those in media and somehow gets out of hand sometimes. These
people get in trouble and may cause damage to anyone in the society. Thus, in
determining the effect of social media’s fake news phenomena we can connect on how
these mediums can be an advantage for better and reliable information rather than
being a intermediary for these types of issues.
