I am submitting this application to you in regards to the teaching assistant position I have found
on California.Jobing.com. I am currently working on my bachelor’s degree in Educational
Studies at Arizona State University and have a high school diploma. I have a great passion
working with and teaching elementary school students. I love the eagerness they have when it
comes to learning! I will also be available to attend all meetings and trainings available.
I am a great team player as I have been in the Marine Corps for two years and in turn, have
been a part of a tightknit team for two years. Please know I will not treat any of the students
under my care as I would my Marines! Previous to the Marine Corps, I volunteered for the Boys
and Girls club where I tutored K-6. I have also been a teacher’s assistant for a Kindergarten
classroom at Hope Academy, where I have greatly enhanced my teaching skills. I also have
experience with basic computer software as well as administrative skills I have received from
the Marine Corps.
Being able to mentor and tutor students, especially elementary school students, is something I
have great interest in. I believe I have the right assets that align with what you are looking for.
