Dnepr clutch plate won't cope reliably with your set-up. Consider https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CJ750-Advan ... 2757663974 Joined: Mon Oct 13, 2014 7:13 am
but be aware it has both good and bad reports, probably due to small batch manufacture. There are several types of clutch Contact:
bearings. plastic and bronze with balls and radial bearings. Also make sure your gearbox is properly aligned to the engine.
Thanks again

Greg thanks so much for this - very much appreciated. Contact:
I always see Dneper clutch plate sold in pairs.....is that because they only last 5 minutes??
Already have a Radial bearing to fit but Rod is toast - does anyone make on that lasts??
Thanks again
Dan
Dneprs and Urals use a twin plate clutch. The Dnepr actuation rod has a square end and the BMW conical. This is one situation
where a square peg doesn't go into a round hole.

A quick update on my engine modification. When I first did the swap, I tried to avoid using a centering ring because I couldn't
find a machinist who'd make it for a price I could afford. I tried getting the clutch centered really well and then taking the
whole engine and transmission to the welder, so that everything lined up when he welded up the new mounting ears on the
transmission. That worked fine until I pulled the transmission to swap out some gears. Just a few hundred miles after that I fencermatt
pulled the transmission off again to replace a seal and discovered that my clutch splines were almost completely worn out, and Party Member
