The Effects Of Climate Change

Climate Change is the biggest environmental crisis our generation has seen. This is
the shift in worldwide weather phenomena associated with an increase in global
average temperatures. The effects of climate change that can happen to the world
are the extinction of animals and disruption of animal habitats, melting glaciers,
early snowmelt, severe drought, rising of sea level , more frequent and intense
heat waves, and an increase in infectious diseases.

One of the effects of climate change is the extinction of animals and the
disruption of animal habitats. Because of climate change more animals are becoming
extinct like a species of elephants in Africa, a threat to the existence of the
Philippine Eagle, Tarsier, and the Great White Sharks. Some of the reasons why
animals are becoming more extinct is that their habitats are getting destroyed,
their kind is being killed by people. As said by https://www.wwf.org, some animals
are unnecessarily killed for food such as the Great White Shark for their fins.
Also, some of the habitats that are for animals are the corals. There are people
who destroy it, take it, and sometimes bleach it. Therefore, there are fishes that
will not have homes anymore. When fishes do not have homes, the fishes can be
caught easily by people and other predatory sea animals.

Another effect of climate change in the world is the melting of glaciers,

early snowmelt, severe drought, more frequent and intense heat waves. Due to
climate change, the world is frequently having intense heat waves. This is a big
problem. First, Agricultural stocks would plummet. Next, the glaciers would melt
earlier than usual, there will be more drought in the world, and the sea levels
will rise that may flood coastal areas. Therefore, the world might have a �mini ice
age�. Also, if the world might have a mini ice age then, farmers would not be able
to feed their families or sell their crops in exchange for money.

The worse effect of climate change is the increase of infectious diseases. If

there is an increase in infectious diseases then it could lead to many deaths
around the world maybe even our family, friends or relatives. Another cause of
death is when the diseases become more common that people would get easily
infected. In addition, because of the increase in infectious diseases, people would
most likely keep going to the hospitals and drug stores. Therefore, more people
would get infected. Because the hospital and drug stores are crowded, people would
be more prone to get sick since, they are all in one place stuck together. Due to
that, the drug stores can easily run out of or lack medicine for the different
diseases. Doctors could also get infected since their patients are sick with
different types of infectious diseases. Because of this, there could be a decrease
in the world's population.

No matter what anyone is passionate about, something everyone cares about

will be affected by climate change. As early as now, everybody should do something
to help prevent climate change from destroying the world. If not, everybody would
suffer the consequences and wished that they had done something earlier to prevent
it from happening. This is everyone's home and the more everyone takes it for
granted, the more bad effects it will have in the future.
