“There are blisters all over my face and arms, they are spreading like wildfire” she said over the

phone.

“EWW how did that happen? Are you heading to the emergency room? Does Mom know yet?

What did she say?”

“Here I will send you a picture, check snapchat. I was putting on self-tanner for the first time and

over did it. When I realized I was turning orange, I tried to take it off and that’s when I started to

break out. Awhile later when I thought it was healed and I would be back to normal, I put

perfume on, and it made it so much worse”

“OH MY GOSH SIS! WHY DID YOU SEND ME THAT PICTURE?” she screamed into the

phone.

“We think it is either a chemical reaction or the same disease Nora had two summers ago”

“What was Nora’s diagnosis in the hospital again? When are you going? You need to leave as

soon as possible before you become one giant blister”

“They never completely found out what was wrong with Nora, but Mom is pretty certain I am

having the same reaction. Dad says that he thinks it is a chemical burn from the reaction of the

perfume, but it started happening before I put the perfume on”

“What self-tanner did you use?”

“It was the one you left at home before you left for college” she said.

“What did I tell you about going through my bathroom drawers? Just because I left for college

does not mean everything, I left in California is just up for grabs!!” She screamed into the phone.

“I actually think the call is breaking up... I will call you later when I have better service.”
