Adding new field and picklist to People Profile


Business Example
In previous module you were learning about picklists. You have created an MDF picklist for favourite
colour which you will now add to the people profile as well as the new field.

Procedure:
1. Configure a new field with picklist
a. In the Manage Business Configuration tool click on Employee profile on the left
b. Choose Standard
c. Choose custom01

d. Change the label of the field to Favourite Colour


e. Change the Default label to Favourite Colour
f. In the picklist field, choose favourite_colour
g. Click save
h. You have created a new field.
2. Add new field to People Profile
a. Access Configure People Profile Tool
b. In section Profile, subsection Personal Information, click on the Personal Information
block
c. On the right side, scroll down to the last user field and click Add Field
d. Choose Favourite Colour
e. Drag and Drop the field up to place it between the Middle Name and the Last Name
field
f. Scroll down and press save
g. Navigating to My Employee File, check that your new field is part of the Personal
Information.

You have successfully added new field to your People profile.
