Mr. Antonio Guterrez

Secretary General of the UN
United Nations
New York, USA

Dear Mr. Antonio Guterrez

I want to open with you a discussion about modern technology and its implications on
environment.
In my opinion the progress of the new technologies impacts on the environment positively and
negatively, despite the fact that the technological revolution in which we find ourselves
contributes to improving the quality of life of people. We cannot let go of the fact that misuse
that are given to these ethnologies are indiscriminately affecting the environment without
delimitation.

I think that environmental pollution is a consequence of the misuse that people give to the
technology. The creation of new technological products, the industrialization and the presence of
harmful components have generated the deterioration of the environment. In addition, the felling
of trees, the emissions and industrial discharges to the atmosphere, the extraction, processing and
refining of fossil fuels, have generated a contamination to the environment, soil, air and water of
our environment.
I suggest that all governments meet worldwide to look for solutions to mitigate the deterioration
of the environment. One possible measure would be to create environmental programs that
generate awareness in all people who damage their environment. On the other hand, the countries
must adopt environmental policies that prohibit the misuse of the technologies by individuals or
any other entity. We must all give priority to the environment because it is necessary for the life
of human beings.

Sincerely,
Juan Garcia Campillo
