Background of study

Poverty is one of the problems that we encountered here in the Philippines, and in other
countries. It may include economic, social and political elements, Poverty is the scarcity lack of
certain amount or money. And according to Roy, D, 2012 “ Poverty means a critical threshold of
income, consumption and access to goods and services below which individuals are declared to
be poor” We all know that the percentage of poverty here in Philippines are now increasing
rapidly, It is caused by Early Marriage, Lack of Guidance and low financial resources. Last year,
the Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA) released data on the country’s poverty situation. These
statistics reveal the poverty incidence across the entire population from 25. 2 percent in 2012
to 21.6 percent in 2015. This translates to a 14-percent reduction in the percentage of Filipinos
whose incomes are not enough to purchase their basic necessities According to (PSA) (January
11, 2018)
