OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Re-distribution of posts of TES Group ‘B’ among different units of DoT
Consequent to notification of Telecommunication Engineering Service (Group
‘B’) Recruitment Rules, 2019 vide Gazette notification GSR No. 146(E) dated 25.02.2019,
and in continuation of restructuring of DoT field units aligning them with the License
Service Areas of DoT, it has been decided to rationalize and redistribute the Group ‘8’
posts in various units of DoT.
2. Keeping in view the requirement of various units/ verticals, limited availability of
Posts at Group ‘8’ level and the strength of Group ‘8’ in the erstwhile TERM Cell(s) in the
LSA, the no. of TES Group ‘B’ Posts in various units will henceforth be as under:

‘In addition to the existing 31 posts in TEC, 22 additional posts have been provided
to meet the immediate requirement for the recently promulgated framework for
MTCTE (Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecom Equipment) on
temporary basis tll the new posts are created for the MTCTE.
