OPTIKS™ Thread - $100
A watermark of the “FIJIAN HEAD”
and a bright new denomination
numeral is visible on all denominations.
Hold the note up to the light to see
these two watermarks clearly.
2. See-through Feature
Hold the note up to the light and you
will find that the white circle on the
front of the note is neatly filled in with
the patterns on the back of the note.
3. Hidden Text
Tilt the note at an angle to see the
word “FIJI” on all notes.
4. Signature
The signature of the Governor of the
Reserve Bank of Fiji appears on the
front of all notes.
5. Novel Numbering
The unique serial number of each
note appears both horizontally and
vertically on the front of all
denominations. The digits of each
number are progressively made larger
to make counterfeiting more difficult.
6. Gemini™ Feature
The logo of the Reserve Bank of Fiji
appears in a single colour on the
bottom right hand corner on the back
of all notes. Place the note under an
ultraviolet light to see the colours split
into two different colours, each
different when viewed normally.
SECURITY THREADS
7. Security Threads - $2, $5, $10, $20
and $50 denominations
The 3mm security thread is present on
all notes except the $100 notes. When
viewed normally, the thread will
appear as silver dashes and will feature
the letters “RBF” and the “tagaga”
logo. Hold the note up to the light to
see the thread as a continuous line.

FIJI BANKNOTES
an 18mm wide OPTIKS™ security
thread which features the “tagaga” NEW DESIGN SERIES
logo. View the note normally to see
the OPTIKS™ thread through a clear
window on the front of the note.
Hold the note up to the light to see
the complete thread with the
denominational number “100” written
on the two parallel edges. View the
back of the note under an ultraviolet
light to see how the parallel edges
fluoresce to yellow.
HOLOGRAMS & FOILS
9. Foil - $10 denomination
The $10 note features a foil with a star
printed over it. Tilt the note to see a
movement inside the star.
10. Hologram - $20 and $50
denomination
The front of the $20 features a
hologram in the shape of a fan and
the front of the $50 features a
hologram in the shape of a turtle.
Both holograms have an image of the
same shape printed over it. Tilt the
note to see different colours in the
hologram. The letters “RBF” and
“tagaga” logo is also clearly visible
when the note is tilted.
