Career Description
The U.S Air Force is a military service organized to use or operate aircrafts. The U.S Air Force is divided
into seven main categories, Operations, Maintenance & Logistics, Support, Medical & Dental, Legal &
Chaplain, Finance & Contracting, and Special Investigations.

A U.S Air Force pilot’s duties and responsibilities it to process information to make quick and smart
decisions is crucial in completing an operation. Successfully completing their missions is paramount, their
role as leaders and character models, training and commanding crews, is just as important. Pilot’s deploy
around the world to where their is a need of fighters, trainers, bombers, and advisors.
Computer uses
The Air Force employs countless computers to accomplish each mission. Experts write, analyze, design,
and develop programs crucial to war-fight capabilities. The Computer Systems Programming specialists
organize and display intelligence data, and assure fighters have the software needed to work efficiently
and effectively.

Required Education and Skills
To enlist in the U.S Air Force, you must have a high school diploma or a GED and be between the ages of 18
to 28. GED holders must obtain a 65 qualifying score on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery.
And obtain at least 15 semester hours of qualifying college credit. To join the U.S Air Force Officer, you must
have a four-year college degree or be within 365 days of attaining a bachelor’s degree.

Knowledge of theory of flight, air navigation, meteorology, flying directives, aircraft, operating procedures
and mission tactics is main importance. As is a compilation of Air Force Specialized Undergraduate Pilot,
completion of a Single Scope Background Investigation, and a completion of officer Training School, Air
Force Academy, or Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps. Training skill and precision is important to
have as an air force pilot while learned in a 9.5 week of officer training school.
