Functions of gerunds:

1. Gerund as a Subject

2. Gerund as subjective complement

3. Gerund as direct object

4. Gerund as object of the preposition


VI. Abstraction

The teacher will ask some questions

1. What is gerund?

2. What are the functions of gerund.

VII. Application

The teacher will divide the class into four groups. Each group will be given a task.

Group 1. Create 5 Sentences with a gerund that function as a subject.

Group 2. Create 5 Sentences with a gerund that function as subjective complement.

Group 3. Create 5 Sentences with a gerund that function as direct object.

Group 4. Create 5 Sentences with a gerund that function as object of the preposition.
