Last quarter we discussed the different festivals here in the Philippines, and performed some
physical activities that improved your skills. You are also engaged to some fitness test that help
you open up some skills that you didn’t know that you have.
Now that we’re in the 4th quarter, we have new topic that can help you to enhance your physical
capability especially in dancing. You will learn the nature and background of the dance, how to
deal with the barriers of exercise and perform first aid, and required to perform the said activities
that will be here in the module.
In this module, your ideas and information that you’ll learn will help you in designing your dance
program so that you’ll be able to achieve you physical fitness goal. Let us start the module by

Folk dance is a popular dance, considered as part of the tradition or custom of a
particular people. It is developed by people that reflect the life of the people of a certain country
or region.

Activity 4. Pass the Ball and Stop.


In this activity we’ll be having music and a ball. While the music is playing you’ll be passing the
ball beside you, it’s either to your right or left. Once the music stop the person who last touch
the ball will give one barrier to exercise, injury and what first aid can we do.

The Philippine folk dance fundamental and basic steps has given more emphasize in the dance.
It will hone your skills in dancing if you know the basic steps of the dance before making it in to
a choreograph dance. In this activity your teacher will help you identify the different fundamental
steps and basic steps of the dance.

Creating Dance Program, with the guidance of the teacher you will be formulating a dance
design. You just have to fill up the blank spaces.
