SUBJECT: RAINS/THUNDERSHOWER PREDICTED IN SOUTHERN HALF OF

THE COUNTRY FROM TUESDAY TO THURSDAY
Reference: Press Release from National Weather Forecasting Center, Pakistan Meteorological
Department, Dated August 26th, 2019

With reference quoted above, it is to inform that Meteorological department, Government

of Pakistan has issued press release for Monsoon alert from Tuesday (Night) to Thursday for the Province
of Sindh i.e monsoon low over Northwest Orrisa has moved West-Northwestwards and today lies over
Central parts of Madhya Pradesh and likely to reach north Rajasthan on Tuesday. Under the influence of
this weather system:

 Rains/thundershower (with isolated heavy falls) is expected at scattered places in Mirpurkhas,

Thatta, Hyderabad, Karachi, Shaheed Benazirabad divisions from Tuesday (night) to Thursday,
while at isolated places in Sukkur, Larkana during the same period.

Keeping in view the above information, you are advised to implement following measures
to prevent/ address any emergency.

 Control room must be established at district level.

 Implementation of 24/7 emergency in all hospitals and health facilities.
 No leave shall be allowed to any medical and paramedical staff during mentioned days.
 Emergency duty roster should be made along with contact number of all the on duty medic/ paramedics.
 Increased medical and paramedical staff where needed accordingly.
 Ensure the availability of all medicines and surgical supplies.
 Provision of well-equipped ambulance for transportation.
 Mobile Phone must be kept ON during the said period.
 Stand by generator must be in working condition at all time.
 Submit the report to this office, in case of any emergency, for onward transmission to higher authorities.
