This is representative of the relationship that exists between the voter and their representatives, in this
case the relationship is of a patron-client nature, in which the politician/representative,
represents the rich and powerful and the voter represents the poor and powerless.
(c) Bicameralism
This speaks to a division in the legislative arm of the government in which there are two
houses or chambers, The Common Wealth Caribbean is represented by senates (upper house),
and the house of representatives (lower house).
(d) Political Violence
This represents any form or act of violence that has political motive and or gains.
(e) Dependency Theory
This theory emerges largely as a criticism to liberalism and in such was representing issues
that developing countries were facing in operation from a neo-liberal perspective,
Dependency Theory categorizes countries as core and peripheral. The core countries
represented, core countries in this sense are developed ones where as the peripheral countries
are developing. Due to a lack of equity within the liberal framework , dependency theory
points out that developing countries will forever remain as such.
