Economic conditions:

The German government aims to see the viable state of Palestine without undermining the Security and
Integrity of Israel maintaining peace and security.

Tangible and sustainable improvement of the living conditions of the palestenian population than there
is an urgent need for swiftly restricting on the movement of export goods.

On the palestenian territories the population growth is high, More than one in two palestenian is
under 18.

Our key objective is to open up economic opportunites. Level of educated people among the
palestenian is above average compared to other Arab countries with literacy rate over 94%.

We foccus three key areas, water, sustainable economic development and Institutions building such as
governance.

Scarcity of water is a serious problem. Protection of scarce water is therefore key to Palestenian German
co operation. Since 1967 Israel has been controlling the water resource.

Through German development cooperation support some 1.5 million people is connected to central
water disposal network. So far more than 250 million euros for the Palestenian water sector has been
spent by the Germany.
