JOLLIBEE

It is located in Tunga-tunga, Massin City, Southern Leyte. I was here about 8 years ago when they first
opened in Maasin. It was a modern shiny new place. Spanking clean, a Jollibee in Maasin meant the city
had grown up at last. Jollibee is the Philippines MacDonalds. Jollibee has captured the children's meal
market with their low priced menu items. When I went back this time the place was packed with large
families with their kids. So I ordered the promoted Cheesy Bacon Mushroom Champ burger, sandwich
only for Php 129.
This is no longer fast food. It took a long wait in line for the food to come out. In the meantime the air
conditioning was not able to keep up with the front door open. It was hotter inside than outside and I
was perspiring. So I sat down and left our group member in line. After sitting down it was facing several
long tables with the dirty dishes not cleared. The staff took their time to get this done. In the meantime,
flies were allover the dirty dishes. Well the burger came out. The cheesy turned out to be a liquid
Velveeta type dollop which we know is 80% fat. The mushrooms looked like they came from a can. I
tried to scrape the dollop off the burger but it was stuck on firmly. So we ate as fast as we could so that
we could get back to the cooler air outside.
