Hacer una carta informándole a tu jefe que tuviste un accidente

mietras saliste de viaje de negocios. Contarle cómo fue el accidente y qué te
dijo el médico.

Dear Mr,
I am writing you to inform that I had a car accident last Sunday, it was
the reason because I did not go to work. The accident happened because the
other driver was driving drunk and we hit. I went to a medical appointment at
the general hospital in Veracruz on the same day. I did not go to work because
I was in the hospital with back pain and pain in my left arm. However, I
am pleased to say that now everything is going better with my health, so I
return next Monday to work with lots of encouragement.

Example 2. Hacer una carta a un amigo describiendo el viaje de cumpleaños
que hiciste con otros amigos.
Hi José Luis,
How are you? I was looking forward to writing you. I am sorry I have
taken so long. Anyway, I want to tell you that I went to Veracruz to celebrate
my birthday with others friends. We stayed in a four star hotel. I celebrated
my birthday in a party room was alongside the beach, this area was quiet and
relaxing with the sound of the sea waves. Later, we went to a good-size pool
in the hotel and in the evening we ate in the restaurant near the beach give
us good food and I am getting fat. Certainly, my friends send you getting. I
have also met a three friends that are from different countries and I practice
my English with them. I loved my birthday!
I will tell you more things in my next letter.

Example 3. Hacer una carta a una revista para concursar en quién tiene la
mejor casa dónde uno viviía de niño. Describirla.
Dear Mr,
I am writing to describe you the blue house where I lived when I was
a child. The house had a wonderful garden and the house was very big,
therefore my whole family lived there, my parents and my grandparents.
I would like to tell you in this place there were four bedrooms, two bath-
rooms, a kitchen ans a living room. And the house was care by a lovely dog.
My favorite place was the living room, because sat all the time in the modern
black sofa. My second favorite room was the kitchen room, because there
was a beautiful fridge, a microwave, a cooker and a oven.
And best of all, there was a television in every room and there was a
beautiful swimming pool in the garden.

una universidad en el extranjero.
Dear Mr,
I am writing to request a scholarship to study English in your renowned
University. My name is Samantha and I get a degree in Communication and
Electronic Engineering. I would like to continue my studies of English in
your University. I would like to know what courses are available in engineer-
ing to become a specialising into English language. Therefore, I should be
grateful for any information that you can send me about this courses and the
requirements for enrolment on the course. I would also appreciate detailed
information concerning accomodation for Mexican students. I would be glad
to supply any further information concerning my background and academic
studies.

Example 5. Hacer una carta para pedir repuestos de partes de una com-
putadora a un técnico.
Dear Mr,
I am writing to request information concerning to parts of computer. I
would like to know what parts of hardware a desktop computer has available
to assemble it. The parts that interest me the most are the mouse, the
keyboard, the monitor and the motherboard. I would also appreciate detailed
information concerning programmes and hardware discounts. Will you please
note that send me information about the newest equipment you have, since
I need it for the videos games design and to put more computers for my
employees.
I would be glad to supply any information concerning about my work
historial if required. I look forward to hearing from you and thank you in
advance.
