Greetings from the institute of Elertronics Engineers of the Philippines, Incorporated (IECEP, inc.)l

IEeEp, Inc. is the Accredited Professianal Organizatian (AP0) tor the Electronics Engineering Profession
in the Fhilippines duly recognized by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) of the Republic of
the Philippines, a non-stock, non-profit organization with a current membership of more than 35,000
registered Electrsnies Engineers (ECEs).

IECEP, Inc. envisions itself as the world-class organization of globally-competitive electronics engineers
with a rnission of promoting professional and technical development among its members" Recognizing
the vital role *f members from the academe in the fulfilm€nt of this mission, we will be holding the
IECEP FIRST (Future's Innovative Research through kience and Technology) on Novemher 21, 2017
at Philippine Trade Training Center, PTT{ Building, Sen. Gil J. Puyat corner Roxas Boulevard, 1300
Pasay City, The event provides a venue for learning new technologies, best industry practices, advances
in research and innovation and most importantly, sharing of expertise among the Professional
Electronics Engineers (PECEs), Eledronics Englneers (ECEs) and Electronics Technicians (ECTs) and
ECE Students from various HEIs with the highlight on the discussion of the 2018 ECE Curriculum and
Career Progression of Electronics Engineering Professionals in the Academe and Soft Skills,
Competencies and Engineering Qualities required from a
Graduate from various flelds like
Communications, Microelectronics, information and Computing Technology, Biomedical Electronics,
Instrumentation and Controls, Power Electronics, Technopreneurship, among others.

In this regard, we would like to invite you, your Electronics Engineering Professionals and Students to
pa{icipate in the event. The folloning Ere some of the majar highlights of the IECEP FIRST which may
be of your" special interest;

A, Electronics Engineering Prafessionrls Track

1. Academe -
Forum Highlights the discussion of the 2018 ECE Curriculum, Continuing
Professional Development and Career Progression of Electronics Engineering Professionals
in the Academe. Registration fee is Php1, 500 to cover the one-day event. Please see
attached registration form. Final cut-olf date will be October 3L,2017 or earlier.

2. Paper Presentations * To showcase the advances in research from both Academe and
Industry. Please see attached Call for Papers.

B. Electronics Engineering Students Track

Student Summit - Panel discussion on the soft skills and competencies required to an
ECE graduate from various specializations like Communications, Microelectronics,
Infonnation and Computing Technology, Biomedical Electronics, Instrumentation and
Controls, Power Electronics, Technopreneurship, among others, It can also be considered
for fieldtrip and serninar destination purposes; likewise, sponsor ccrnpanies will be having
a lob Fair. Registration fee is Php6O0 to cover the one-day event. Please see attached
registration form. Final cut-off date will be October 3t,2AL7 or earlier,

2. Annual Electronics Engineering Interccholastic Quiz Show - Final competition of


ECE schools qualified to join the IECEP National Quiz Show. Please see Quiz Show
Guidelines for your reference.

3. Call for Undergmduate Research Papers and Design Projects - A venue to


showcase the undergraduate research papers and design projects conducted by the
students. Finalist will be presented during the Student Summit.
