38. In personnel assessment, psychological tests are used primarily for the benefit of the
A. Employee
B. Employer
C. Examiner
D. Consumer
Answer: B. Employer
Discussion:
My answer was letter B. Employer because the employer was the one who is
responsible for looking a new employee. When hiring applicant, they should take
psychological test so that the employer would know if they will hire you or not, because
the employer wants the best for the company. The employers are the one who was being
benefited, because they will know if the possible employee was useful for the job, he/she
was applying for. If the employee could handle a stressful work, and the employers are
avoiding to be sued by their employee so that they are requiring their applicants to take
psychological tests. The employees were not being benefited because they were the one
who were looking for a job, the examiner also not benefited because they were just the
test user who were giving the test to examinees. And not even the consumer was being
benefited because they were just the one who were buying a specific product.
