Universal Declaration of Human Rights

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is a document that acts like a global road map
for freedom and equality, protecting the rights of every individual, everywhere in every state/country. It was
established and created on December 10, 1948. The Declaration outlines 30 rights and freedoms that
belong to all of us and that nobody can take away from us.

I have learn that every state has the same basis of freedom and equality which is the Universal
Declaration of Human Rights. At first I thought that human rights are just like beliefs where every state has
their own basis of it and never thought that there is a document that represents the unity of every country
but after the discussion I am persuaded that every state agreed in the same basis of freedom and equality
which is UDHR. Every article discusses about the right of everyone in every state, regardless of gender,
status, race and culture. Most importantly, I have learned my every rights so that I can protect myself from
discrimination whenever or wherever I am and in reverse I have known the rights of others so that I can
avoid violating their own rights too. According from Article 3. Everyone has the right to life, liberty and
security. I have learned that everyone has the right to feel secure in or out of their country, everyone has
the right to live, no one has the right to take lives from them, and everyone has the right to liberty, everyone
must be treated equally.

The 30 rights that were included continue to form the basis for international human rights law and
it stand for the unity of every state in the world. Today, the Declaration remains a living document. It is the
most translated document in the world. But it is very sad to think that there are still people suffering from
discriminations even if there are laws that are protecting them, not knowing that their rights are being
violated and worst, some of them are experiencing it at their own country from their fellow countrymen.
