HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL

Dungao Integrated School a former elementary school had no formal

education before. But because of the belief of the people that education is the best
weapon for development, the school was formally opened. It was headed by several
undocumented teacher in charge during 1950s. The Department of Education has
always been aiming for excellence between and among its institutions. One of the
fundamental objectives is to promote Elementary schools into Integrated schools.
Dungao Elementary School, with the supervision of the previous school heads and
teaching personnel, had attained different achievements in district, division and
even regional level which upheld the school to be recognized. The recent reshuffling
done led Mr. Manny G. Culangan, the very talented, committed and dedicated school
head, to pursue the legacy of the school. Through the guidance and support of the
school head, teaching personnel, and other stakeholders, the conversion of the
school was made to happen. Dulin family donated the lot for the construction of
buildings for High School. From the former Dungao Elementary School (DES) with a
school ID number of 102942, the development of DUNGAO INTEGRATED SCHOOL
(DIS) with a school ID number of 501172 was successfully opened last June 4, 2018.
